An Italian-language production of August Wilson’s classic drama Jitney, with projected English supertitles. We’re teaming up with August Wilson House to co-host this touring production from Sardegna Teatro and La Piccionaia, performed by an African-Italian ensemble.

The performance on Friday May 8th at 8 PM includes a free spaghetti dinner catered by chef Rickia Davenport of KP Catering for all attendees, starting at 6:30 PM in our cabaret theater. Italian desserts from Moio’s Italian Pastry Shop at intermission, courtesy of Danne Smith Mathis, August Wilson Mentee (1977—78).
The performance on Saturday May 9th at 7 PM includes a free dinner at 5:30 PM featuring Chicken Alfredo, rigatoni, and garden salad. Dinner catered by McKenzie Catering will be served in our cabaret theater.
The performance on Sunday May 10th at 3 PM (at Madison Arts) is followed by a 6 PM post-show farewell reception with cast and crew at August Wilson House, with a soul food dinner. (The Sunday reception is free for Sunday ticket holders, but space is limited and registration is required.)
